Visa
It is the student’s responsibility to obtain the correct type of visa to participate in PNU Summer School. As each country has different policies in visa management, please consult the Korean Embassy or Korean Consulate Office in your country for the proper visa type.
In general, students from a country or region where Korea has a visa-waiver agreement may participate in PNU Summer School with the K-ETA (Korea Electronic Travel Authorization). You may check your eligibility by visiting the K-ETA website. Please note that certain nationals may not be eligible for ‘study purposes’ with K-ETA, so please double-check your visa eligibility with the Korean Embassy before departure.
Students from countries that are excluded from the visa-waiver agreement program must apply for a tourist visa(C-3-9) or a short-term study Visa(D-2-8) at the Korean Embassy or Korean Consulate Office in the country you are currently studying. Obtaining a Visa may be time-consuming and therefore we encourage students to start preparing for it as early as possible.
Insurance
Students must purchase their own medical insurance before entering Korea.
Insurance should cover the period of your stay in Korea and students should make sure they know how their health insurance works if any medical problems occur.
Proof of Insurance must be submitted up to 2 weeks before the start of the program via email: summer@pusan.ac.kr.
The document should include the information as follows:
- Name of the insured
- Period of coverage
- Place of coverage
